There’s not much going on in the gambling world these days. Basketball is what our lives are littered with now. Thankfully, the Oscars are this weekend! It’s our last weekend with something actually going on until March Madness so I hit the streets of Manhattan in the name of OddsShark to see where the smart Oscar’s money is going.

Let’s check in with Matt for his pick of the week 

Went 1-1 last week with Fairfield and Richmond as my gallop seems to be turning to more of a trot, as is tradition. If there was ever a time of year to pick your spots it is right now. The figurative cupboard is bare. As for around the corner, my general tendency for conference tournaments is to back a healthy amount of chalk. Then the big show is all about fading the public and staying disciplined. Also important not to be too emotionally attached to your bracket, because when underdogs go on a 15-0 run in the middle of the damn thing you want to be there. Anyway, pick your spots…

  • Alright so I think I’m 1-2 in my last 3 A10 plays but let’s keep chopping wood. I’ve been losing on home dogs hoping they can stand up to the top tier teams. Time to wake up to the fact that the parity has been overstated. Dayton is 7-0 SU in their last 7 and 5-2 ATS during that stretch. Davidson hasn’t beaten quality since January 14th and doesn’t have much of a season to salvage. Pick: Dayton -2.5
